My Story
Hello and welcome to Keratoconus Hub!
I'm Lalit Vashishtha, and I live with keratoconus myself. My personal experience with this eye condition has made me appreciate how important it is to find clear information, understand available treatment options, and connect with people who understand the challenges.
This personal connection inspired me to create Keratoconus Hub — a place where people affected by keratoconus can learn, exchange experiences, discover useful resources, and feel less alone.
What You'll Find Here
My aim is to make information about keratoconus easier to understand and more accessible. Here are some of the topics covered on this blog:
Understanding Keratoconus
Learn about its causes, symptoms, diagnosis, risk factors, and how it can affect vision.
Treatment & Management
Explore corneal cross-linking (CXL), contact lenses, and other established treatment options.
Research & Developments
Discover research updates and emerging approaches being investigated for keratoconus.
Eye Care & Healthy Habits
Find practical information about eye care, avoiding eye rubbing, nutrition, and general well-being.
I want this blog to help readers become better informed and have more productive conversations with their eye-care professionals.
Your Story Matters, Too!
Every person's experience with keratoconus is different. If you live with this condition, I warmly invite you to share your story and become part of this community.
You might share:
- How and when you were first diagnosed.
- Your experiences with glasses, contact lenses, or treatment.
- The everyday challenges you have faced.
- Questions, insights, and lessons from your journey.
- Encouragement for someone who has recently been diagnosed.
Your experience may help another person feel understood or find a useful question to discuss with their doctor. By sharing responsibly, we can build a more informed and supportive community.
My Commitment to You
I continue to learn about keratoconus, its management, and developments in research so that I can share useful, understandable information with readers.
I believe health information should be presented honestly, with a clear distinction between established medical evidence, ongoing research, and personal experiences. Where possible, I aim to direct readers to reputable medical sources.
As someone living with keratoconus, I understand the value of patient perspectives. At the same time, I recognise that every person's eyes and treatment needs are different.
I'd Love to Hear From You!
